Why we built it
The best AI is usually locked behind paywalls, confusing pricing, and a wall of model names. Most people don't know which model to pick, what it will cost, or whether it will even understand the task. So they either pay for several subscriptions or settle for a stripped-down "free" tier stuck on an older model.
We thought that was backwards. Powerful AI should be something you can reach for without a credit card or a computer-science degree. Tusk Central AI removes the friction: one interface, many top-tier models, and a smart picker you can lean on when you'd rather not choose.
How it works
Pick whichever model you want from the model selector — they're all in one place. Not sure which to choose? Brainiac is one of the options in the picker: select it and it auto-selects a model suited to your prompt. Either way, you can see which model answered and switch any time.
You also get more than a chat box: attach images for the AI to read, upload documents to work from, search the web inside a conversation, and turn on location for answers relevant to where you are.
How "free" actually works
We're ad-supported, the same way most of the internet is. That's how we keep everyday AI free instead of charging a monthly fee. A few things we want to be upfront about:
- Most models, including all fast-reasoning models, are free and unlimited. No timeouts, no daily caps.
- A handful of deep-thinking models come with generous free credits each month. If you want more, it's simple pay-as-you-go with micro-payments, only for what you use. No subscription required.
- The ads are contextual, not built on deep profiling, and we don't sell your conversation data.
That's the deal: a few privacy-respecting ads in exchange for free access to the best AI.
